AUDIOPHILE GRADE INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER

The S-300i integrated amplifier combines a fully balanced, Class A preamplifier circuit with a stereo amplifier rated at 150 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 300 watts per channel into 4 ohms.

The Fully Balanced Integrated Amplifier (FBI) is a large-format integrated amplifier that offers all the power and control afforded by big Krell amplifiers in a convenient, integrated package that is simple to operate.

A new Current Mode preamplifier topology features an Evolution CAST input for pristine signal integrity. A balanced, 300 watt/channel amplifier delivers the dynamic contrasts for which Krell is legend.

The hand-machined aluminum chassis and choice of two exquisite finishes complete a package that obliterates any notion of compromise.

Power Supplies
Housed in a separate chassis, the power supply makes use of extensive electrical and magnetic shielding to keep radiated interference out of critical amplifier circuits. Internal high current line conditioning circuitry filters RF noise on the AC mains, as well as compensating for asymmetric power waveforms and DC on the mains. A dedicated 165 VA toroidal transformer with six independent secondary windings powers the amplifier's low level stages, gain stages, and control circuitry. Power for the high current regulators and amplifier output stages comes from two massive 2500 VA toroidal transformers. These in turn drive eight 35-amp bridge rectifiers and 120,000 microfarads of filter capacitance. High reliability connectors with 56 machined, gold plated, 20-amp contacts transmit these tremendous power reserves to the regulators.

The Evolution 302e is a powerhouse stereo amplifier in a compact chassis. Packing advanced Evolution circuit technology and prodigious power output, the Evolution 302e delivers superior performance in smaller scale applications. This power is coupled to a modest 2 watt power draw when in standby mode. Perfectly matched with an Evolution 222 preamplifier for stereo application, the Evolution 302e also shines as the Left and Right amplifier when coupled to an S-1200 Surround Preamplifier/Processor in a home theater system.

Potent enough for almost any application, the Evolution 400e shares the same sophisticated circuit topologies as its larger siblings but packs it into a smaller chassis. The Evolution 400e is perfect for when high performance is critical but space is at a premium.

The Evolution 600e monaural amplifier sits in the middle of the Evolution e Series. Powerful enough for almost any application, the Evolution 600e is the amplifier choice in many stereo and home theater systems worldwide. This power capability is coupled to a new green operating mode that reduces standby electrical draw to a mere 2 Watts. As with all Evolution amplifiers, the Evolution 600e development began with a question, "What is the most difficult scenario this amplifier will face?" The answer is a 2 Ohm speaker load. When the final design is complete, and the amplifier is presented with a typical 8 Ohm speaker, it practically coasts. This amplifier simply sings with this stress-free load connected. The S-275 is a slim line stereo power amplifier boasting our latest advancements in circuit design featuring an impressive 275 Watts per channel into 8 Ohms and 550 Watts per channel into 4 Ohms in stereo mode. Setting the rear panel switch to mono operation, the S-275 boasts a massive output of 550 Watts into 8 Ohms and 1,100 Watts into 4 Ohms. Technologies developed for the Krell Evolution amplifiers including Krell Differential Current Mode circuitry, wide bandwidth topology, and surface mount technology have been incorporated throughout the design. Combining flagship technologies in an elegant presentation, the S-275 is the ideal choice for high impact systems where space is at a premium.

This new amplifier features legendary Krell amplifier performance in a multi-channel, upgradeable new design. The S-1500 has a flexible design that delivers five, six, or seven channels of amplification. All three configurations include input and output connections for all seven channels. The S-1500/5 and S-1500/6 may be easily upgraded with additional channels, up to seven. Available in silver or black.
